Assess over fifty Iraqi State owned factories that were shut down after the second Gulf War. I was responsible to determine what was needed logistically and financially to get the factories back up and running. Part of my duties was to work with the American Military and Director Generals of the factories to order raw materials, parts, and get new orders from the local economy. I also determined the upstream and downstream employment from the new startups factories.
Accomplishments:
• Purchased parts and equipment worldwide from anything between 25 year old textile mills, to new 10 megawatt power plants and everything in between.
• Set up deals with major Middle Eastern HVAC & Power Generation manufacturing plants to supply Iraqi plants with parts and supplies so they could start back up manufacturing again after shutting down in 2003.
I was hired as a HVAC-R technician in Al Asad Iraq for a Security and Logistics company. Within in a matter of months I was promoted to Power Pro Manager over our twelve locations, and it was my responsibility to work out mechanical and electrical problem with Refrigeration and Power Generation equipment over the phone with our Technicians in the field. If for some reason I could not communicate with them it was up to me to convoy out to there location and diagnose and repair the problem with them, as you can imagine because of the cost and danger, that did not happen often. Within a matter of months I was promoted to Operations Manager because of a vacancy. It was my duty to supervise the daily operations of a facility that serviced the entire country of Iraq. These operations included the facility’s security, logistic, power generation and refrigeration. I was responsible for all of the assets that Wolfpack S&L LLC. had in Iraq. I maintained a safe working environment for the technicians and directed them in their daily activities. I also participated with the military to discuss and negotiate contracts. I oversaw and ordered all the supplies, materials and equipment to maintain an accurate level or inventory that would ensure the demands for all our twelve outlying operating bases. I had constant contact with clients to receive feedback on their level of satisfaction with Wolfpack’s performance.
